Co-leaders, Rhea, Advyth, and Caryn, each received Travel Grants to present at the annual Ecological Society of America (ESA) Conference at Montreal, Canada! They shared the educational findings from the project as undergraduates organizing field and research opportunities. 

Some of the main points made were the need for these opportunities to be provided, the logistical preparation involved in organizing a research trip as extensive as SCIRP, and the challenges faced by the leaders (limitations in funding, resources, training, bureaucratic barriers, etc.). Suggestions were provided to any future students seeking to organize such a project and how they should be supported when striving to accomplish such a goal. 

On behalf of SEEDS, Amy Do (seen in the photo below) presented a lightning talk about the preliminary findings of our trip at this year's CCB EcoSlam event. Amy was the sole undergraduate presenter at this event!
